what you call spring

Being at the park eating fruit snacks with the texture of cardboard reminds me of when I was a kid, when I would eat fruit snacks...that had the texture of cardboard. It also reminds me of that time, when I was a kid, when that bird dive-bombed me when I was innocently trying to retrieve my sandwich from beneath a tree where a friend of mine had hidden it--which consequently reminds me of why I don't like small birds flying close to me in the spring. In fact, looking back I wonder if it's a miracle that I ever survived. If you want to know more about my fear of small birds, you can read my last springtime entry here.

Either way, I'm here now and so is spring...or so I'm told. If this were the kind of world where there were no calendars, news, or weather people, I'd be really confused about what time of year it is on the Wasatch Front. Last week it was snowing. Today it is windy. Tomorrow is supposed to beautiful. Maybe next week it'll rain so we can complete the circle of seasons.

Today I took Boston and Lincoln to the library and the park beside it. After reading a few books about animals and trucks Boston got bored and wanted nothing more than to play on the computers. Yes, I'm probably raising a tech nerd like myself and Danny. I'm okay with that, but I don't think the librarians were. So we left and played on the slides until the weather blew us back down the parking lot to our car and we went home.
