shaking off the yuckies

Do you know one of the things I love about living in Davis County? One can get the small-town feel and still live only 15 minutes from downtown. Cities north of Salt Lake City are under-appreciated by city-folk.

Just before the vomit...
Yesterday Boston was the sickest he's ever been. Throwing up, fever, the works. He spent the whole day just lying on the sofa, holding his sippy cup in the curve of his arm and watching either Sesame Street, Dinosaur Train, or just staring out the window. His fever broke at 2:00 and after napping until 4:00 he sprung to life asking for crackers, apple juice, and started chasing the dog.

He laid like this watching Sesame Street, cracker in hand, for an hour.
So today we took a walk in this beautiful weather to shake off the yuckies and I decided to bring my camera with me. It was like taking a field trip into a land of animals. Boston called out everything he saw like he always does (which I love). Bird! Doggies! Horses! Turkey!

Yes, you read correctly. Down the street from our condo is a horse property with three horses. Just before that is an actual bonafide farm that is home to turkeys, chickens, geese, and two peacocks!

Boston had so much fun he didn't want to go home...and then he requested a nap when we walked into the house. Gotta love the little guy's ambition.  Today I taught him that he is turning two years old this coming Sunday and when I asked him how old he was to see if he understood what I just taught him, he replied with an enthusiastic, "TWO Bostons!"

Here are some pictures from our adventure.

Yes, a peacock. I couldn't NOT include a picture.
