Bath time band aids

5/23/12

Boston loves taking a bath with bubbles. He splashes and giggles, gathers bubbles together so he can drop them from his fingers, and talks about his body as he hides the washrag under his legs and asks where it went.

Until he finds a hair. If he finds a long hair floating on the bubbles, and if it gets stuck on his fingers, and if it tickles his fingers when I pull it off, bath time is over. He will scream and cry and refuse to stay another minute in that water. One time I heard him mention the word "snake" when he found one, and since I don't know of any frightening encounter when he's actually seen a snake other than in pictures I can't figure out why it would freak him out like that.

Since he can still beam a smile and a pose (he did that himself!) after getting out it gives me hope that such fear will be gone soon enough.

Love you, Boston.

  1. You pretend something once and they hold onto it forever! Once I told Brooke there was a spider on the ceiling to get her to look up so I could rinse her hair. Now EVERY time she is in the bathtub she says "do you see the spider on the ceiling?".
