This is Boston. From the moment his feet hit the floor when he wakes up in the morning he is already on his way to somewhere. He looks for his ball, or he plays with the remote controls, or he climbs into the bathtub for reasons I haven't figured out yet. So trying to take his picture is a lot like trying to focus on a hummingbird in flight. Or, in this case, a very active Spongebob. It's difficult, but not impossible. You just have to catch him first.
Like this. What can an active little boy like ours do? I'll tell you...

He can (sort of) run. Where did he learn it? Let's just say I found out what Danny and the baby do in the church hallway when the baby can't behave during sharing time. And what could be more encouraging to run than by looking down a long, empty hallway when your mother isn't looking? :)

Boston has a favorite phrase that we can't get enough of: his version of "Where did it go?" The other day I had jelly or applesauce on the side of my hand. When I raised it, palm backwards, to see what it was, Boston quickly mimicked the motion and said, "Where-go?" in his babble language. He doesn't always wait for a cue; sometimes he'll create his own scenarios to initiate the phrase, like rolling his ball under the couch just so he can ask me where it went.
So how does one catch a Spongebob? Answer: You get lucky. I got one!

Last Thursday I was working at the kitchen table. I happened to be standing while I typed, and as I typed I heard something quietly sliding across the floor. When I looked back, my chair and the baby were gone. Boston returned from his room, raised his arms in the air for me to pick him up and proceeded to direct me to his play area in the living room. The little rascal had hidden my chair so I would have to play with him.
