This weekend was an adventure. Short of all the details, it's enough to say that in the course of a half hour on Saturday afternoon we needed some new blinds for our bedroom, and a new windshield and tire on my car. Boxster decided he wanted to do some redecorating, and UDOT decided to pop my tire. (The cracked windshield came from a pre-existing rock chip from awhile ago.)
Thankfully I was able to get to a gas station in Clearfield before my tire completely flattened, and we just switched back to Allstate insurance that has free 24-hour roadside assistance. 2 hours later I was back at home watching a movie in the skirt I just bought for a wedding reception in Mendon--of which I never made it because of the tire.
But by last night I had a free tire patch job from Big O Tires, Danny repaired the blinds and the crack is subtle enough that we can wait until the fall or so to replace the windshield. To end the day I was brushing my teeth and decided to floss, when--POP! Out came a filling. Nice, huh. Now I have a huge hole in one tooth (thank goodness it isn't to the root) and my cheek gets sucked into it when I swallow. With my 6-month checkup here anyway, I guess it's good timing as any.
Now we just need news that our butler is dead and we can declare a satisfactory end to the weekend. That is...if we had a butler. Hmmm...
